The seminar focused on “Oral Hygiene” to raise awareness about the importance of taking care of our teeth and mouth. Many are unaware of proper oral care and its effects their overall health. Therefore this session aimed to provide practical tips and correct common misunderstandings.

The session was led by Dr. Sruthi, who is currently pursuing her post-graduation in Public Health Dentistry. She is passionate about promoting oral health awareness and strongly believes in the principle that “Prevention is better than cure.” Her dedication to educating others on maintaining good oral hygiene reflects her commitment to improving public health and instilling healthy habits in the community.

Dr. Sruthi began by explaining the session’s purpose in asking why oral hygiene matters. She emphasized that teeth cannot heal themselves and poor oral care affects overall health, function, and appearance. She also shared key daily practices such as brushing, flossing, using mouthwash, cleaning the tongue, massaging gums, and maintaining a healthy diet.
