July Report – 2025

Sharing What You Have

“Do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”
— Hebrews 13:16 (NIV)

On a muggy rainy day, a little girl was striding her little legs, avoiding the potholes in the rush to reach her home before it’s too dark. The hazy fog would barely allow anyone to see through the surroundings. Yet, hearing a voice of discomfort, she lifted up her eyes and noticed her neighbor walking barefoot in the cold, without slippers. Without a second thought, she removed her own slippers and gave them to her. The little girl didn’t stop to think whether her slippers would fit or not — she just saw the need and offered. That small act of sharing came straight from her heart.

Sharing what you have doesn’t require abundance. It only requires a willing heart.

The Bible tells us a similar, yet a true event, about a woman in 1 Kings 17:8–16—the Widow of Zarephath. She had only a handful of flour and a little oil. When the prophet Elijah asked her for bread, she honestly said she was gathering sticks to make one last meal for her and her son before they died of the severe famine the land was struck with for three and a half years. But when Elijah assured her that God would provide, she chose to share. To hers and her son’s surprise, God miraculously supplied her needs every day.

Her story reminds us: God doesn’t bless us just to keep—He blesses us to share.

And the way we share matters to God. Deuteronomy 15:10 says, “Give generously to them and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work.” This verse shows us that God not only looks at the gift — He looks at the heart behind the gift. Sharing with love and joy pleases God and opens the door for His blessing in our lives.

You may not have money to give, but maybe you can share your lunch, your umbrella, your books, or even your time with someone who needs it. Sometimes, the gift of listening to a hurting friend is greater than any material gift. Even small things matter. A loaf of bread. A shared pen. A visit to someone lonely. They all carry the love of Christ when done with the right heart.

Here’s something to remember: “When we open our hands, we open our hearts — and make space for God to work through us.”

Reflection / Application

  • What is that one thing I’m holding too tightly that I can choose to share?
  • Who in my life could be blessed by something simple I could offer?
  • What is one act of sharing I can do this week to reflect God’s love?

Prayer

Dear God, thank You for all the blessings You have given me. I know that nothing I have is mine — it’s a gift from You. Help me to have a heart that is willing to share, even when it’s hard. Teach me to give freely, with love and joy, not with a grudging heart. Use what I offer to bring hope and help others. Amen.

Conscientia

The fifth Conscientia seminar focused on Stress Management, addressing a growing concern among youth. Dr. Dean Jones, a Medical Affairs Manager at Nestlé, led the session, offering practical insights on understanding and managing stress.

He discussed common stressors, symptoms (physical, emotional, cognitive, and behavioral), and shared effective coping strategies including self-awareness, time management, physical health, and the impact of social media. Real-life examples further enriched the learning.

The session saw the participation of 24 enthusiastic learners, and received positive feedback for its relevance and usefulness.

SMALL GROUPS

General Groups

In July, the Chosen Ones group conducted a seminar on "Stress Management", led by Dr. Dean Jones, with 24 participants in attendance. The session provided practical insights to help attendees manage stress effectively in their daily lives. The group also actively took part in the Small Groups Gathering organized by Stewards of Nations and faithfully continued their Friday early morning prayer sessions, interceding for personal needs and the broader vision and needs of the Stewards of Nations organization.

Chosen Ones

This month, they celebrated a joyful milestone as Gemini confessed her faith with baptismal outward sign on July 22nd. Leading up to the event, they spent time reflecting on her personal journey, hearing her testimony, and sharing encouraging words about her walk of faith and the mighty works of God in her life. Unfortunately, due to busy schedules and unforeseen circumstances, they were unable to continue their regular book reading session, and most group members couldn’t join. They are hopeful and prayerful for renewed participation and consistent fellowship in the coming weeks.

Truth Seeker

Though the Kadosh Sarang Group couldn’t meet in person this month, they stayed connected through prayer and continued to support one another from afar. Several members are currently facing challenges in different areas—one is preparing for important final exams in the medical field, another is feeling overwhelmed by work responsibilities, while someone else is managing both workplace and family-related struggles. There’s also a member seeking clarity and direction in their education and career path. As a group, they are lifting each of these needs in prayer and trusting that things will settle down in the days to come. They are hopeful and looking forward to gathering together again regularly from next month onward.

PBYP Small Groups

This month, the PBYP Men’s group gathered to reflect on the topic “Growing Together Spiritually in Married Life.” The session emphasized the importance of building spiritual balance—a key aspect which is often overlooked in relationships. Spiritual balance involves staying rooted in God’s Word, maintaining personal devotion, and walking in unity with one’s partner in faith. The group explored Scriptures like 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18, 1 Peter 4:9–10, and Ezra 7:10, which encourage consistent prayer, service, and study of the Scriptures. A significant portion of the session was spent addressing doubts and questions on what spiritual balance looks like, how to identify it, and why it is essential in a relationship. The group was reminded that spiritual balance is not about having everything in order, but about a steady desire to grow in Christ, seek Him together, and remain faithful in their individual walks with Him.

Men's Group

This month, PBYP Women’s Group-1 met four times to explore key topics that help build a healthy and meaningful marriage. They began by discussing “Marriage and Money,” sharing personal experiences and how their upbringing influenced their money habits. The group learned five areas of financial management: earning, receiving, giving, saving, and spending. They were encouraged to plan budgets as couples and give to God. Next, the topic “Parents and In-laws” helped them reflect on how their family backgrounds shape communication and values in marriage. They discussed the principle of “leaving and cleaving” from Genesis 2:24, emphasizing the importance of shifting emotional dependence to one’s spouse and setting respectful boundaries with in-laws. Finally, they had an open discussion on “Sexual Relationship in Marriage,” breaking the silence around this topic and honestly sharing views and being inquisitive to learn. They learned that sex is God’s gift for unity and the importance of healthy communication, understanding, and mutual care. Overall, the group grew in confidence and clarity for marriage.

This month, Group 2 met three times and covered important marriage preparation topics. First, they discussed Marriage and Money, focusing on five areas—earning, receiving, giving, saving, and spending. They learned how budgeting and wise money habits help couples manage finances and work toward shared goals. In the next session, they explored Parents and In-laws. They reflected on their family backgrounds and how it shapes their behavior in marriage. Using Genesis 2:24, they understood the importance of “leaving and cleaving”—building a strong bond with their spouse while still honoring parents. They also shared the benefits and challenges of living with in-laws and the need for healthy boundaries. In the third session, the group discussed Sex in Marriage. They learned that sex is a gift from God meant for love, joy, and unity. It should be mutual and respectful. Overall, the group grew in awareness and readiness for a healthy marriage.

PBYP Final gathering

The final session of the Prepare Before You Promise (PBYP) journey was held online with 10 participants. It included worship, personal sharing, and a teaching on biblical love in marriage by Mr John Srikanth. Five key principles were highlighted: submission, mutual respect, communication, commitment, and growing together.

The gathering ended with a vote of thanks and a call to continue contributing through time, treasure, and talents toward the mission of transformation.

PRAYER NEEDS and THANKSGIVING

Prayer Needs

May compassionate sponsors believe in each child’s future and give consistent and loving support. May the children stay healthy, succeed in studies, and grow in confidence. Let the sponsorship program run smoothly with integrity, bringing lasting hope and a way out of poverty.

Pray for each member to grow in faith and walk closely with God. Ask for a spirit of openness, thereby making the group a safe place for honest sharing and support. Lift up those who are being hurt, that they may find healing and encouragement. Seek clear direction for what to study and how to serve others. Pray for consistency and commitment, even amid busy schedules, so that members prioritize fellowship. Finally, ask that the group becomes a light in the community through love, service, and kindness.

Ask that the truths from PBYP take root and shape everyone’s daily life. Pray that the members make wise and prayerful choices in relationships and continue to grow in character, emotional maturity, and spiritual strength. Pray that they may seek God’s guidance and patience for one another, to trust His timing, and not rush due to pressure. May the friendships and accountability built during the sessions remain strong, and may each person go on to influence others, and build healthy and Christ-centered relationships.

Pray for provision to cover all monthly expenses, including salaries and program costs. Ask for success in each planned activity, and for the team to remain healthy, energized, and joyful. Pray for meaningful new connections and partnerships, and for wisdom in every decision. Most of all, may our efforts bring real, lasting impact to the lives and communities we serve.

Lift up the participants—that their hearts stay open to learning and growth. Pray for leaders, volunteers, and organizers to serve with wisdom, unity, and love, and that all arrangements go smoothly with good weather and peaceful surroundings. Ask for full financial provision and enthusiasm for post-seminar small groups. Pray for more volunteers to support ongoing discipleship, and for God’s guidance in every detail, resulting in truly transformed lives and Christ-centered marriages.

Thanksgiving

We are thankful to God for His help and provision this month. We successfully completed the audit process and received the final report from the Chartered Accountant. We were also able to pay the audit fee and clear all related payments. His support and guidance gave us peace and strength throughout the process. We remain grateful for how He continues to provide for and take care of our needs at every step.
