’Time Management – 2026’

This month, a seminar on Time Management was conducted to help participants understand how to use their time effectively and productively. The session aimed to guide individuals in organizing their daily activities and making better use of their time. The speaker for the session was Ms. Aafia Tamkent, Assistant Professor at St. Joseph’s Degree and PG College. She is passionate about teaching, mentoring students, and empowering young minds.

During the session, the speaker shared practical tools and techniques such as the Pomodoro Technique, Eisenhower Matrix, SMART Method, POSEC Method, 1-3-5 Method, and Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. These methods helped participants understand how to plan, prioritize, and manage their tasks efficiently. She also explained that proper planning, prioritization, and discipline can improve productivity and reduce stress. The speaker highlighted a meaningful quote by Annie Dillard from The Writing Life: “How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives,” encouraging participants to reflect on their daily routines and use time wisely.

An interactive Q&A session was conducted where participants asked several questions, and the speaker responded clearly, helping them understand how to apply these concepts in real-life situations. A total of 28 participants attended the seminar. The seminar had a positive impact as participants gained awareness and practical skills to manage their time better, which can lead to improved productivity and reduced stress. Overall, the seminar was effective and insightful, equipping participants with useful techniques to apply in their daily lives.
